Meet Alexis

Alexis Small may have a camera- friendly face and bright smile, but the California native would rather be behind the scenes directing and producing.

Since the tender age of 3, Alexis has fallen in love with the arts over and over again. She remembers growing up watching films and shows including: A Different World, Moesha,  The Proud Family, Martin, Crooklyn, The Wiz and a host of others.

It was because of that deep infatuation, that she decided to attend Bennett College in Greensboro, NC, where she received her B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies in 2014. There she created College Daze, a web talk show and filmed her first documentary, “Who You Calling a B*tch?” and studied The Psychological Effects of Reality Television.

Now, she is expanding the College Daze brand into her own company, Alexis Small Productions. She’s currently producing the 23 & Graduated Doc Series and the animated Judge Khalil series. Alexis strongly believes in creating positive images for women and people of color through film, theater, and animation.
